This adjustable swivel chair was made for a judge in Minnesota - this solid walnut Victorian or Eastlake period chair dates from about 1880.
The old finish is well preserved with a little wear for antique character, see photos. Waxed and polished, only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its luster.
Faux leather upholstery is recent and has only minor blemishes. Incised carving and fluting is characteristic of the era on this American made furniture. Large and comfortable, this armchair tilts back easily, it is stable and very usable.
Measurements are 25" wide, 29" deep, 52" tall and the seat is 20" high as shown, adjustable up and down.
