A pair of ceramic plaques were hand painted around 1890, and signed illegibly by the maker in Hamburg, Germany.

The inscriptions translate "Give the thirsty a drink" and "Give clothes to the naked," with an image that appears to be Mary as Queen of Heaven.

There is minor wear to the edges of these antique works of unglazed ceramic art. Diameter is 17" and depth is 1 1/2."
