Carved of solid quarter sawn oak in the 1890's, a triple bookcase has original wavy glass doors. The restored old finish is in very fine condition, preserving just enough mars and stains for a little antique character. There are shrinkage separations from age plus a dark shadow on the top, presumably from a lost gallery, see photos.
Fluted columns, a classical carved frieze and fine dentil moldings are authentic on this American made antique library furniture. Outer doors are angled, locks and keys work. Three separate banks of shelves adjust with iron pegs.
Dimensions are 73 1/2" wide, 15" deep and 66 1/2" tall.
