This large swivel desk armchair from about 1915 has been completely restored and newly upholstered in natural brushed or sueded leather with brass nail head trim.
The solid birch hardwood frame has a restored finish in excellent condition with a few shrinkage separations from age for a little antique character. The frame is rock solid, reglued to serve another generation.
A cast iron swivel mechanism has adjustable height and tilt. There is a charming little "squeak" when the chair is fully tilted back. The seat is firm and supportive on this American made library or office furniture. Ball bearing wheels are modern replacements.
Size is 26" wide, 26" deep, 47" tall and the seat is 20" high and 20" deep as shown, adjustable upward.
