This "chimney cupboard" was narrow enough to fit next to a kitchen chimney, and was hand carved of solid oak in France around 1820.
The restored finish is in excellent condition, preserving just enough losses and mars for a little antique character. Raised side panels have shrinkage separations from age at the joints. Door panels are carve with faces.
The original locks and key still work on this historic furniture. Joints have carved wooden pegs, nails are hand cut.
Measurements are 24" wide, 17" deep and 70" tall.
