Ansonia Antique Victorian Wall Clock
A classic Victorian wall clock is signed by famous maker "Ansonia of New York" on the dial and on the 8 day brass movement - see photos. Cleaned and oiled, this charming antique keeps excellent time and strikes the hour and half.
The fruitwood case has a rich deep finish with just enough mars and character to show its age, made about 1885. The dial has been restored inexpertly, the large brass pendulum and wavy glass in the doors are original.
Size of this nostalgic timepiece is 16" wide, just over 30" tall and 6" deep.
