Handcrafted in Berlin, Germany around 1890, this magnificent sideboard or bar cabinet has masterfully hand carved Ionic columns, cherubs, fruits, and flowers in high relief. The exquisite marquetry portraits of a mother and child add to this stunning piece.
- 1890s antique furniture with label "Gustav Knauer, Berlin"
- Fantastic species of wood including oak, mahogany, rosewood, & Tamo ash
- Top surface has been refinished for durability. The rest of the original finish has been waxed and buffed, preserving minor mars. All that is needed to maintain the soft luster is an occasional wipe with a soft, dry cloth.
- Minor shrinkage separations & burn marks - see photos
- Brass hardware is original, working locks & key
- Drawers have hand cut dovetail joints
- Removable shelving below, upper section shelves are adjustable
- Top & bottom disassemble
