This style of console or pier table was called a "petticoat" table in the south, the lower mirror was used to adjust petticoats under large skirts.
This lovely furniture was hand crafted in mahogany by famous maker "Berkey & Gay" about 1900. The satiny finish is excellent, there is a touchup at the front center of the bottom shelf, see photos.
A "secret" drawer under the top has hand cut dovetails, the mirror below has enough "smoke" to show its age -see photos.
Size of this American antique is 42" wide, 19" deep and 37 1/2" tall.
