Black Forest Carved Oak 1890's Console Bar Cabinet, Marble Flip Top

A Black Forest deeply carved console cabinet has a flip top, opening to a marble bar serving area. This cabinet is from where Switzerland, Germany and France meet.

The finish is in excellent condition on this 1890 era furniture. Masterful three dimensional hand carving includes drawer pulls. When the top is raised, swing out gate legs open and a shelf drops down.

There are stains and a hairline crack in the original marble, it has been polished and sealed for use. Drawers on this European antique bar cabinet have hand cut dovetail joints.

Measurements when closed are 47" wide, 19" deep and 38" tall, open height is 54 1/2" overall.
