A robust butcher's chopping block from about 1900 is signed indistinctly, "J. G. Lehrer(?), Milwaukee, Wis." and would be a functional kitchen island or wine and cheese tasting table.
Solid hard rock maple, this well worn grocery store furniture has loads of antique character - losses, stains and dings. The silky smooth top is oiled and ready to use, the base has an excellent finish.
Measurements are 31" square and 34 1/2" tall.
