Said to be from Connecticut, this classic solid cherry dropleaf dining table from the 1830's makes a lovely sofa table as well. Delicate turned legs show Sheraton influence.
The deep satiny finish is in excellent condition on this hand made American antique furniture. Cut from a single wide plank of cherry wood, the top has an old spline restoration on a shrinkage separation, see photos.
When closed, size is 41" long, 20" wide and 30" tall, legroom is 24 1/2" underneath. With both leaves raised, the top is 47" x 41."
