Country French 1900 Carved Queen Size Bed, Armoire and Night Stand

Expertly crafted in France and hand carved about 1900, an authentic Country French bedroom set has the original finish with a glowing antique patina. Waxed and polished, it needs only an occasional wipe with a dry cloth to maintain its rich luster.

The bed has been adapted to fit a standard modern queen size mattress as shown. The highly detailed shell crest is especially wonderful. this bed has been fitted with modern steel side rails. Wooden cross slats are included, ready for a standard queen spring and mattress. Original odd size carved side rails are sent along if desired. Dimensions are 52" wide, 22" deep, 8' 4" tall and interior depth is 16."

A sweet nightstand or bedside table has a marble top, and is gracefully shaped. The finish is in very fine condition on all sides, even the back. The original marble has been polished and sealed to resist stains, the grain is beautiful. Below the drawer is a ceramic lined compartment. Size is 16" wide, 15" deep and 33" tall.

The armoire has original shaped and beveled mirrors in both doors. At the base is a "secret" drawer. The highly detailed shell crest and arched top are especially wonderful. It can be disassembled for moving. Inside, shelves adjust on wooden supports. Mirrors have a little "smoke" to show their age. The key is a handle only, the lock does not work. There is a small warp to one door, see photos. Drawers and case have hand cut dovetail joints, side panels are shaped and raised. Dimensions are 52" wide, 22" deep, 8' 4" tall and interior depth is 16."
