English Arts & Crafts 1900 Antique Mahogany Back Bar Sideboard, Beveled Glass

From the English Arts and Crafts period about 1900, this magnificent back bar or sideboard with china cabinet is solid mahogany. The serving top has been revarnished for durability, the rest of the finish is original and very well preserved. Waxed and buffed, all that is needed to maintain its warm antique patina is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth.

This understated British furniture has stylized carved heads, "linen fold" panels and artistic detailing. Embossed brass hardware is also original, as are small beveled glass panes. Drawers have tiny hand cut dovetail joints on solid oak sides, one is felt lined. The upper section is separate for easier moving.

Measurements are 6' 5" wide, 27" deep, 7' 7" tall and the base is 38" high.
