French Black Marble 1880 Mantel Clock

This 1880 era Classical design French mantel clock is beautiful with a black and red marble case. The porcelain dial has an open escapement and beveled glass door.

Professionally cleaned and adjusted, this antique clock keeps excellent time, striking the hour and half on a delicate silvery bell.

The original compensating pendulum contains mercury, so this heavy clock cannot be shipped by PO, Fed Ex, UPS, etc.

There are small flakes and touchups to the marble, see photos. The lower window is beveled. The back door is slab of marble, finished to be attractive in front of a fireplace mirror.

Measurements are 14" wide, 6" deep and 17" tall.
