French Bronze & Pewter Figural Mantel Clock
An exquisite mantel clock with a sculpture of a mother and child dates from about 1900, and is signed "T F Marti, Medaille D'Or," or "Gold Medal" winner.
Expressive pewter figures are seated above a richly embossed bronze base, inlaid with marble. Behind a beveled glass bezel is a hand painted porcelain dial on this elegant clock from France.
The brass 8 day movement has been professionally cleaned and adjusted - it keeps excellent time with a silvery bell on the hour and half.
Measurements of this work of art are 18" wide, 8" deep and 15" tall.
