French Early 1800's Antique Copper & Brass Jug

Hand made in France in the early 1800's, this solid copper and brass jug was used to heat hot water on a stove or hearth for baths.

Hand hammered dovetail joints and hammered rivets show masterful workmanship. There is a charming soldered repair on the shoulder of this antique pot. The lid fits well and there is a finger grip on the handle.

Dimensions are 13" across and 20" tall.
