Italian 1600 Sideboard, Original Lock, Secret Drawers, Baby Mermaid Pulls #30260

A wonderful Renaissance design sideboard or server was hand carved of solid wormy walnut during the 1600's in Italy. There are three secret drawers for silver plus an original working hand wrought iron lock and giant key. Doors have original hand made brass pulls with cherub or baby mermaids on this classical antique furniture.

The restored finish is in excellent condition, preserving warm patina with loads of mars, wear and shrinkage separations from age. There are restorations and losses, especially on the back side bottom from damp stone floors. Drawers have hand cut dovetail joints and old but not original brass knobs.

Measurements are 68" wide, 21" deep and 45" tall.
