Marble Bust of A Young Woman, Signed Piazza, 1890's Antique Sculpture

A bust of a young woman wearing a jacket was hand carved of white Carrara marble about 1890, and signed "A. Piazza, Carrara."

This Italian antique work of art is in beautiful condition. The work of a master sculptor, her face is peaceful and thoughtful, draping and hair are exquisite.

Antonio Piazza has works in museums and collections across the world. The Carrara quarry is still active, and has been worked over 2000 years.

A round base is a separate piece, overall dimensions are 13" wide, 9" deep and 24" tall.
