Monumental Coat & Hat Stand or Dressing Room Mirror

Hand carved in Italy about 1890, this heroic hall or foyer coat stand has umbrella and cane holders plus a beveled mirror. This wonderful piece would also be perfect in a dressing or bathroom area for towels and robes.

The finish is in excellent condition with a few shrinkage separations from age for antique character. Brass rails held umbrellas, pans below collected drips.

Carved in high relief, lower panels have "tooled" backgrounds. Deep moldings and a bold crest are grand on this European furniture.

Original brass hooks have lion heads, and dimensions are 6' 8" wide, 12" deep and 7' 2" tall.
