Signed by famous maker, "National Cash Register of Dayton, Ohio," this small size cash register was used in barber shops and candy stores.
Cast and deeply embossed bronze panels are beautiful, the base is oak. Model 313, the serial number is 1277654, which was made in 1913. The numbers are worn on the buttons, which only go up to $1.95. There are stains on the original marble shelf for money, see photos.
Under the locking lid is a key that can reset the running total and clear the machine, it does not work. There is an original engraved brass "National" plaque on the oak base of this nostalgic American made antique. The cash register was invented in 1879, and National was the first and best maker.
Size is 10" wide, 16" deep and 17" tall and weighs about 75 lbs.
