A stacking lawyer's or barrister's bookcase from the very early 1900's is quarter sawn oak with leaded glass doors, the label fragment is from "Globe Wernicke of Cincinnati, Ohio" and a "Macey" stamp as well.
The restored deep finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique library or office furniture. There is a drawer in the base. Top and base sections are also separate stacking modules.
Two sections fit books up to 10" wide and 9 1/2" tall, one section up to 10" tall and one up to 12." Overall size is 34" wide, 13" deep and 58" tall.
