Carved with rope or "barley twist" designs in solid oak about 1900, this magazine rack or music shelf was said to be from the famed James J. Hill mansion in St. Paul, MN, but there is no proof. This charming English style shelf could also be functional in a bath or for desserts.
The original finish is very well preserved on this American made antique furniture. Shelves are woven cane.
