Signed by famous maker, "Romweber," this solid oak semicircular desk from the 1950's has carved grapevine motifs in the base. Raised panels and key designs are distinctive, the warm finish is in excellent condition.
This Indiana maker sold pieces to the White House and the Shah of Iran, their quality is superlative. Raised panels and traditional "butterfly" oak joinery in the top are exquisite. The interior drawer is dovetailed on this strong and durable vintage library furniture. Two hinged drop leaves offer extra workspace.
Dimensions are 68" diameter across, 30" tall, 34" deep with the leaves down, 45" deep when they are raised. Legroom is 25" underneath.
