Thatched Cottage & Ocean Scene, Denmark, 1900 Original Oil Painting, 41" Wide

A thatched cottage on the ocean in Denmark is the subject of this summery oil painting from around 1900. The undamaged canvas has richly textured brushwork and a deep blue seat. We can find no signature on the front this European work of art, but there is an indistinct signature on the top back stretcher. An original frame has a coppery gilding with minor mars for antique character. Overall dimensions are 41 1/2" wide 34 1/2" tall and 2 1/2" deep.
