Victorian Antique Double Oil Desk Lamp, Milk Glass Shades, Electrified

A Victorian 1880's kerosene or oil burning double desk lamp with two milk glass shades has been electrified. The solid brass base has a charming tarnished patina, and height is adjustable on this American made antique lighting.

With flame lamps at a desk, the problem was to direct the light downward. The problem was solved by placing the kerosene tank behind the burners instead of underneath. Old white glass shades are slightly different, see photos.

Two brass standard base electric sockets have a switch on the cord.

Measurements are 23" wide, shades are 8" diameter and 26" tall.
