Victorian Portrait on Glass Tile, Carved Frame
Entirely original from about 1850, an original portrait painting on a milk glass tile has a hand carved walnut frame. The genuine gold leaf liner is embossed, surrounded by an oval sculpted velvet mat.
The solid walnut frame has an Egyptian head and birds in high relief with some shrinkage separations from age, the finish is original. Size of this American work of art is 16" wide and 23" tall.
