A lovely Victorian silverplate water pitcher has a swan finial and tree branch handle, it is signed and dated "Stimpson, NY, 1854." Although the "warrantee extended 7 years," it has apparently expired.
The silver plating is in excellent condition, there are small scratches and dents on this insulated or double wall pitcher or serving pot. Just next to the spout, another engraved signature reads, "Reed & Barton, seamless liner Patented 1867."
The shield for engraving a monogram is still blank awaiting initials. Height of this picturesque antique is 12" high.
