Frantz Charlet Signed 1927 Original Etching

This signed etching is a work by noted Belgian Impressionist artist, "Frantz Charlet." This lovely domestic scene was hand printed and published - it is engraved "???...blie par L'Estampe Moderne 14 Rue de Richelieu, Parte 1927."

The embossed impression of the artist's engraved plate is clearly visible at the edges. Numbering at the bottom left is difficult to decipher.

Paintings by Charlet, whose dates are 1862-1928, are in museums all over the world, notably at the Musee d"Orsay in Paris and the Royal Museum of Fine Arts in Brussels.

Subtle colors and delicate softness are lovely in this artwork, the image is about 14" x 17" and the original gold frame is 26" x 24" overall.
