Signed by famous maker, "Globe Wernicke of Cincinnati, Ohio," about 1900, this five stack lawyer's bookcase has no doors.
Oak wood has a very fine original finish that has been waxed and buffed, so all that is needed to maintain the warm patina is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth.
One back panel is replaced on this American made antique library furniture, coppery hardware is original.
Interior measurements are 10" deep, four sections are 9 1/2" high, one is 13 1/2" high inside. Overall size is 34" wide, 13" deep and 67" tall.
