The dark oak carved case is beautiful on this grandfather clock from about 1900. Newly cleaned and oiled, the 8 day machined brass movement keeps excellent time, striking the hour with a two-note chime and also striking the half hour.
Behind the beveled glass door, brass weights are wound by pulling their chains. There is convex glass over the burnished dial. This antique clock dates from about 1900, and is signed "VH" on the dial and the keyhole escutcheon. With its graceful arched top, the oak case has a rich deep brown finish in excellent condition.
It is 6'11" tall 26" wide, and 14" deep.
