A charming New England country chest or dresser from about 1790 is solid butternut with curly or tiger grain maple drawer fronts.
The restored finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique furniture showing Hepplewhite influence.
Graduated drawers have chamfered bottoms, hand made nailheads are visible and hardware is about 130 years old but not original. The back was replaced. A label in the drawer is from an antique store in New York about 1900.
