Aladdin Silver Hand Hammered Seahorse Oil Lamp

A wonderful little "Aladdin's Lamp is solid hand hammered 900 silver, and has a seahorse motif, it is said to be from Peru. This work of art is signed, and appears ready to use - it needs only a wick and any kind of oil.

This design of lamp has been in use for thousands of years. Perhaps 75 years old, the Spanish language signature is shown, "900" silver has slightly less silver content than American sterling, which is 925/1000 pure.

Weight is approximately 2.2 troy ounces. There is a lid on the oil reservoir, size is 5" wide and 4" tall.
