Angel & Cherub Carved Italian 1850's Antique Cornice, Crown or Crest

This magnificent cornice, crown or crest with cherubs and angels was hand carved in Italy about 1850.

The original genuine gold leaf finish over a red ocher base is beautifully worn with warm antique patina. This architectural three dimensional sculpture may have been created for a window valance, over a doorway or fireplace. The detail and finesse in this work of art is amazing.

Size of this historic sculpture is 69" wide, 19" tall and 10" projection.
