Antique Victorian Sofa, Carved Lion Heads
A grand Victorian era sofa has hand-carved lion heads on the arms. Walnut with matched burl, this sturdy and comfortable furniture dates from about 1870.
The old finish is very fine with slight irregularities and tiny mars. Elegant brocade upholstery has little wear but does have a few spots, see photos.
Crafted in northern Europe, this gracefully curving antique is not upholstered in the middle of the backside.
Dimensions are 6' 8" long, 30" deep, 41 1/2" tall and the seat is 18" high.
