Art Nouveau Marquetry Full Size Antique Bed
An authentic Art Nouveau period bed was artistically hand-crafted in the very early 1900's. The carved frame is elm, birds eye maple panels have expert inlaid marquetry in rosewood, mahogany, satinwood, ebony and tulipwood.
The finish is original with later revarnishing, there is beautiful golden patina and just enough character - mars and wear at the edges, see photos. Wooden siderails are also original. This antique furniture fits a standard modern full or double spring and mattress as shown.
A lovely work of art from Austria or France, size is 4' 11" wide, 6' 6" long, the headboard is 52" tall and the footboard is 34" high.
