Country French Carved 1900 Antique Armoire or Wardrobe, Secret Drawer

An authentic Country French armoire or wardrobe from about 1900 is solid walnut with an original satin finish in extremely fine condition.

This furniture from France has been waxed and buffed so that only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its warm patina.

The hand carved crest in high relief is beautiful. There is a "secret" drawer in the base. Inside are shelves that adjust on wooden supports. Doors have lift off hinges, this piece disassembles for easier moving.

Brass escutcheons are also original, the lock still works and sides have raised panels. Original shaped and beveled mirrors have a hint of "smoke" to show their age.

Measurements are 51" wide, 20" deep, 8' 1" tall and interior depth is 15."
