French Antique Carved Lingerie Chest, Marble Top, Beveled Mirror
This elegant lingerie chest with jewelry drawer was masterfully carved in France about 1910, and has a shaped and beveled swivel mirror and marble top.
The original finish is very well preserved on glowing matched and banded walnut, and has been waxed and buffed. All that is needed to maintain the warm patina is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth. Deeply sculpted carving and gentle curves are beautiful on this antique furniture. The gallery with mirror and jewelry drawer is removable. Embossed brass hardware is original. The marble has been polished and sealed to resist stains.
Measurements are 22" wide, 16" deep and 63" tall.
