French Marquetry 1920's Armoire or Chifferobe, 6 Drawers

An exquisite armoire or chifferobe from the 1920's is a gracefully curved masterpiece. Marquetry and banding includes elm burl, curly ash, walnut, ebony and tulipwood.

The finish is excellent, enhancing the masterful inlaid designs and natural wood grain. Embossed mounts and pulls are original on this antique furniture, hand crafted in France.

Drawers are dovetailed with solid oak sides. The curved door has false drawer fronts for symmetry, there is a working lock and the door has a slight warp, see photos.

Dimensions of this beautiful cabinet are 44" wide, 21" deep and 66" tall.
