A "bridge" or floor reading lamp with an arm to use behind a chair dates from about 1915, and has American Indian motifs. Cast brass, iron and white metal, this American made antique light is richly detailed.
The brass standard base socket has a pull chain switch and has been rewired. On the base are traditional Indian swastika designs, later reversed and infamously appropriated by the Nazis. There is a chip to the rim of the old toned milk glass shade, see photos.
Measurements are about 18" across and 60" tall.
