Lake Como Italian Antique King Size Bed
A magnificent king size bed was carved in the 1930's for a lavish villa on Lake Como in northern Italy.
Matched walnut burl panels are stunning, tapered curly grain columns have carved capitals. Deeply sculpted moldings have classical motifs and this bed has beautiful lines and proportions.
The satiny finish is excellent, enhancing the intricate natural wood grain. This bed has been expertly adapted to fit standard modern king size mattress and springs as shown.
Dimensions of this palatial Italian antique furniture are 6' 7" wide, 7' 8" long, the headboard is 5' 1" tall and the footboard is 30" high.
Several of the pieces in this group have the logo of the dealer in the town of Cantu on beautiful Lake Como, celebrated for centuries for its palm trees and opulent villas.
