Libellule / Dragonfly Statue Sculpture Signed Bessin
Entitled "Libellule" or Dragonfly, a lovely sculpture is signed by French artist, Paul-Lucien Bessin, and dates from the early 1900's.
This French statue shows Art Nouveau period design. The original patina in dark bronze and green is subtle. Metal alloy like this is sometimes called spelter, similar to pewter. There is a repair to one finger on this graceful work of art, see photo.
