Hand crafted in England around 1910, this Jacobean style secretary has a bookcase top with leaded glass doors. Solid fine grained oak has an excellent finish on this historic furniture.
Drawers have hand cut dovetail joinery and original brasses. The door lock and key work, Because of a small warp on the drop front, the lock does not catch. When the front is opened, wooden supports automatically extend. Inside are a tiny drawer and cubicles for papers, there is some wear and scratches inside for antique character, see photos. Legs have rope or barley twists.
Measurements are 36" wide, 17" deep, 76" tall and the desktop is 29" high.
