Hand-made by a skilled country carpenter in the 1850's, this primitive jelly cupboard has wonderful rustic charm. Hand-planed boards of walnut, oak and pine are secured with hand-wrought square nails. The doors have wooden pegs and chamfered panels.
The finish is very good with wonderful worn patina - mars, losses and stains. Rugged interior shelves were strong enough to store jams and jellies from the fall harvest.
Measurements of this picturesque American antique are 4'3" wide, 19" deep and 4'8" tall.
