Signed "C.B. Swift of Boston," this majestic 54" round American Empire dining table from about 1910 extends to 14 1/2' long.
Gleaming mahogany with shimmering grain, the satiny finish is superb. The substantial pedestal has scrolled feet and splits open, revealing a center leg for extra support when extended. Ten 12" wide solid mahogany leaves have skirts or aprons.
Grand and well proportioned antique furniture, the center leg is slightly off center when fully opened, see photos.
Height is 30" with 26" legroom underneath, when all ten leaves are in place, length is 14' 7" overall.
