Hand-carved of solid mahogany with matched flame grain panels, this sweet set of four Empire period chairs dates from about 1835. Strong and solid frames have a deep and lustrous finish.
Newly repadded and upholstered, the removable "slip" seats can be recovered to match any decor. This historic furniture with saber legs is said to be from New York state, the shape of the splat is the reason they are sometimes called "fiddle-back."
Size of these charming American antiques is 18" wide, 19" deep, 33" tall and seats are 18" high.
