Set of Dessert or Lunch Size Fiddle, Thread & Shell Sterling Silver Flatware for
A set of English dessert or luncheon size sterling silver flatware in the fiddle, thread and shell pattern for 12 was sold by the Marshall Field antiques department about 60 years ago, attributed to "Geo. Angell, London, 1865."
Included are twelve 7 1/2" knives and twelve 6 3/4" forks in an original burl walnut presentation case. This British antique set has hollow handles and therefore cannot be accurately weighed.
Case size is 10" x 11 1/2," the presentation plaque was never engraved.
