Ship Captain 1870 Antique Bar Cabinet, Wave & Dolphin Motifs, Denmark
An opulent bar cabinet was crafted for a ship's captain about 1870 in Denmark with hand carved three dimensional dolphin and ocean wave motifs.
The renewed finish is in excellent condition, preserving minor mars at the edges for a little character. Matched elm burl and ebonized hardwood has had various restorations over the years.
Corner candle stands have mirrors behind for dramatic effect. Mirrors have a hint of gold to show their age. Locks operate with keys. The interior has its original velvet lining for glassware.
The drawer has solid oak sides with hand cut dovetail joints on this antique furniture. The upper cabinet is removable for easier delivery.
Dimensions are 47" wide, 22" deep and 93" tall.
