This signed "sampler" of a girl's needlework talents depicts the Biblical "Solomon's Temple," and dates from about 1830.

The "birdseye" grain maple frame appears original to this New England antique textile. Wear, stains and repairs to the hand embroidered linen are visible, plus mars and wear on the frame, see photos.
