Swedish Biedermeier 1840 Antique Sofa, Newly Upholstered

A genuine "Biedermeier" or Empire period sofa or day bed was hand crafted in Sweden about 1840. Curly birch is inlaid with rosewood and delicate classical marquetry figures - with delicate engraving.

A golden finish is in very fine condition with warm antique patina. The frame is strong and tight, this is a very usable and elegant piece, comfortable for the era. Cushions are newly upholstered and have zippers on this historic furniture.

Dimensions are 77" long, 28" deep, 35" tall and the seat is 20" high.
