A "Tansu" or Japanese low chest from around 1900 makes a fascinating coffee table. Hand crafted of pine and ash, the old finish has been preserved with a fresh coat of satiny varnish.
There are mars, dings and wear for antique character. Wrought iron hardware and handles are original, locks have no keys. Corners have mounts for protection, joints are secured with round wooden pegs on this Asian made furniture.
Measurements are 37" long, 16" deep and 18" tall.
